Eliminates the glow caused by UV light
Theory Fluorescence is the absorption of a short, high energy light wave (ultraviolet) and immediate radiation of some of that energy as a longer, less energetic blue light. Ultraviolet light is invisible to all mammals including humans but ultraviolet light causes numerous man-made materials to fluoresce as a blue light. Scientists have discovered that all mammals except humans and apes are able to see only two colors, blue and green-yellow. These animals do not possess the necessary retinal protein to give them vision in a red color. These animals are compensated by much better perception of blue light thus; deer and elk are many times more visually sensitive to blue light than a human. Ultraviolet light from the sun and stars hitting man-made materials is frequently projected off that material as a blue, beacon-like radiation highly visible to a deer or elk, though usually invisible to humans.
How do I test for this blue light? This fluorescence is visible under a “black light”, appearing as a radiation of blue light.
What does Fool-a-Deer and Fool-a-Elk do? University studies show the formula absorbs 99% of the ultraviolet light eliminating the “blue glow” that is visible and alarming to deer and elk.
